Welcome to Bri & Beloved

Welcome to Bri & Beloved!

I am so happy you’ve stumbled upon this little space I’ve created!

My name is Bri, a young boy mom of 2 little men (Grant and Holston) and I have a passion for sharing my motherhood journey!

My goal in creating this blog is to be as transparent as possible and share not only the good, but also the not-so-good. I want my space to be relatable, because if there’s anything we can all agree on, it’s that parenting is not for the feint of heart! It can be tough, guys!

Not a mom? Don’t worry I’ll be sharing much more then just motherhood! There will be plenty of “general lifestyle” posts, and I’m sure that wherever you are in life, you’ll find something for you here, too!

Whether its date night ideas, self care tips, homemaking, baby raising, event planning, or what my family is personally up to: I wanna share it with you!!

Sooo, now that I’ve rambled through my intro, let me tell you a bit more about myself and a little about our story!

So, like I said, my name is Bri! I’m 23 years old and my two boys, Grant and Holston are my entire world! I’m raising these sweet boys here in East TN with my highschool sweetheart! (aka their dad) Elijah! (We also have our pup, Jack that you may see around here!)

Elijah and I met the summer before my junior year of high school. He was my brothers friend and to keep a very long story short, we started dating in February of 2013! To this day, he is my absolute best friend.

One of the biggest parts of our journey, that has shaped us into who we are today, would be the fact that we became teen parents shortly after knowing each other. We found out we were pregnant my senior year of highschool, about 7 months into our relationship.

Flash forward 9 months later to his birth (5 days after my highschool graduation!) and BOOM. We were parents at 17 and 18 years old.

It was definitely a challenge being parents at that age, but it has also been the most rewarding and amazing journey of our lives.

We’ve grown so much in the years since having Grant. He has changed us for the better, and as cliche as it sounds, I truly can’t imagine my life without him. He just turned 5 this May and I can’t believe how quickly time has come and gone!

When Grant was around 2 1/2 we found out we were expecting a second baby, and that he was going to be a big brother. We were so excited to see him transition to that role and bring another life into the world.

But unfortunately, shortly after, we experienced a “missed miscarriage” and lost the baby. We were heartbroken. Our world shifted. And again, it has shaped us in many ways.

I mention this experience because it’s one that I feel so passionately about sharing. I feel like infant loss and miscarriage is such a taboo topic that most people don’t want to talk about. And I get that it can be triggering for some. But I also believe It needs awareness brought to just how common it truly is. That heartbreak is like none other, and I’ll be dedicating a few posts to the topic.

After one of the hardest experiences in our lives, however, we experienced one of the biggest blessings, finding out that once again, we were expecting a new little one.

In October of 2017, we welcomed our rainbow baby, Holston, into our family! He has been such a blessing, with a huge vibrant personality. My sweet, wild little man!

The transition to becoming a family of 4 was much different then I expected! Although it has its challenges, I’ve loved so much watching the bond that comes with siblings!

After Holston was born, I just knew I wanted to start blogging about my motherhood journey. Navigating life as a young woman and mother. And so here we are.

I chose the name “Bri and Beloved” (which Elijah recommended, actually) because this space is about just that.

1. Dearly loved.

It’s about my life and the things in it that are loved dearly (My kids. My relationship. My passions. Life in general. The list goes on!)

So here I am. Taking the plunge and putting myself out there. Sharing my life with you on a new platform.

My family is far from perfect. We struggle. We fail. We get it right, sometimes. And I just want to document all of it. I want to share tips, advice, experiences, and everything in between. I want to give you a glimpse into our lives, in hopes that you can relate. I want to create this space to share these things in hopes of letting you know that no matter where you are in this journey of life, you are not alone!

And so thank you, again for coming to check out our blog. Don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss the future posts to come!

Now lets get started. Get comfy, and stay awhile.
